SCENE 4.7 incorporates ‘one-click’ Web-Share functionality

SCENE processes and manages scanned data by using automatic object recognition, scan registration and positioning. Once SCENE has prepared the scan data a user can commence evaluation and further processing right away. SCENE 4.7 incorporates 'one-click' Web-Share functionality which allows for the easy and secure sharing of scan data via the Internet. Scanned images can now be put on the Internet by just a click of a button, thus enabling users to share scan information with their customers, suppliers and partners without the need of additional software. This release is based on a completely new software foundation allowing a 64-bit version as well as a 32-bit Windows systems version. The 64-bit architecture allows for more efficient point cloud handling and visualisation. Added features include 'Documentation object' which enables the marking of points of interest in the scan data, adding comments and attaching any kind of document to the scans while 'Quick View' allows all the tools to work on the scan data in an undistorted 360° visualisation. SCENE software is delivered with every FARO Laser Scanner at no additional costs. Current users of a 4.x version of SCENE will be provided with an upgrade at no cost.
