Featuring a total of 14 cutting edges per insert, the CoroMill 745 assortment includes three pitch versions. The differential MD pitch, which is compensated radially to ensure equal chip thickness for every insert, should be deployed when vibration is a factor, while the M pitch is best for general applications. The H pitch has a higher number of teeth, making it the first choice for higher productivity.
The insert positioning system in the tip seat and heptagonal insert design keep the inserts secure in the pockets when mounting. A positive cutting action is generated as a result of having the inserts tilted in the tip seat.
Inserts geometries and grades are available for steel and cast iron materials, for roughing to semi-finishing applications.
