Sandvik Coromant launches CoroChuck 930
Sandvik Coromant's CoroChuck 930 hydraulic chuck has been designed to meet the need for high pull-out security and precision, offering a run-out that can be measured at <4 µm at 2.5 X DC.
The CoroChuck 930's brazed membrane allows for maximum secure clamping with two supports on each side (fulcrums), explains Sandvik Coromant. The design also provides excellent torque transmission performance over multiple clamping cycles while dampening features minimise vibrations during the machining process.
The hydraulic chuck can be quickly tightened or released with a dedicated torque wrench. No external equipment is required to clamp or unclamp the system.
CoroChuck 930 is balanced according to DIN 69888 CoroChuck 930. It is suitable for all types of machine tools where either the spindle or workpiece rotates and is available in pencil, slender and heavy duty versions.
