Salvagnini S4+P4 upgraded with new S4 punch and MVP storage unit

The S4+P4 line is one of Salvagnini’s most successful systems. It is capable of punching, shearing and bending sheet metal without any break in the process from blank to finished part. At EuroBLECH this month it was updated with the new S4 punch-shear and the MVP intermediate store. The S4 punch-shear has a new and simpler high-performance hydraulic system which makes the machine even more competitive. It also features a new power pack which considerably reduces consumption without in any way diminishing performance, and has been equipped with the very latest technology available on the market, including the intensive use of distributed drives. The mechanics of the indexing punch have been totally redesigned, making it even more reliable than before. The MVP intermediate store holds parts that have been punched and/or cut on the S4 before being passed to the P4 Panel Bender. The MVP store eliminates all waiting between the two processing phases (when the S4 finishes machining a part, there is no need for it to stop and wait for the P4 to complete the part it was sent earlier). The new intermediate store also acts as a buffer, allowing the two machines to work separately and autonomously, even when they are unmanned.
