Prosilica GX3300 from Stemmer Imaging allows fast high resolution imaging

Stemmer Imaging can now offer the Prosilica GX3300 camera from AVT. The GX3300 combines 8 Mpixel resolution with high speed (240 MB/s) data transfer and 17 fps at full resolution, meaning that it is no longer necessary to compromise resolution for speed. Supplied complete with a set of smart features, Stemmer says the GX3300 is suitable for a range of machine vision applications.

The AVT Prosilica GX3300 features the quad-tap Kodak KAI-08050 CCD progressive scan sensor for exceptional image quality, high sensitivity and dynamic range, improved anti-blooming and reduced smear. Dividing the sensor into a four quadrant parallel readout allows the device to support 17 fps at 8 MP. The GX3300 is equipped with an F-mount to make full use of the 4/3 inch optical format and is compatible with a wide range of high quality commercial and industrial lenses. The GX3300 is the latest camera in AVT's Prosilica range to feature Link Aggregate Groups (LAG), or IEEE 802.3ad, computer networking technology. This links two Ethernet ports to provide data transfer of 240 MB/s, twice that achieved using GigE Vision configuration. The camera is supplied in a compact, ribbed camera housing, specially designed for heat dissipation, allowing the GX3300 to deliver high quality images even in tough environments with temperatures up to 50°C.
