Prima introduces Laserdyne 606D multi-axis laser

Prima Power’s Laserdyne 606D multi-axis laser processing system features dual independent workstations in a single structure. The newly developed machine consists of four main components: two 6-axis motion systems; an integral Class 1 enclosure with dual automated doors; two S94P laser process controls for motion and laser co-ordination; and two fibre lasers. Each laser can be of the same or different type.

Each workstation offers a speed of 50 m/min in the X, Y and Z axes, 2 G acceleration, and bi-directional accuracy of 20 micron. Linear motors feature in the X and Y axes.

Two of the latest Laserdyne BeamDirector systems for positioning the laser beam in rotary and tilt axes are also included. BeamDirector provides the fourth and fifth axes of beam motion for processing 3D components. C-axis (rotary) travel is ±450° about the Z axis, while D-axis (tilt) travel is ±150° about the C axis.
