AutoScan Collaborative RoboGauge combines Fanuc robot technology and Perceptron’s Helix smart scanning sensor, integrated with a collaborative robot safety solution, to deliver a standard gauging package. It is targeted at offering a flexible alternative to traditional ‘hard gauges’. The system can be used in comparative or absolute inspection mode.
The RoboGauge Cell includes a rigid machine base for holding both robot and part fixture and has translucent side panels that light up to provide visual colour status indication.
The RoboGauge perimeter is monitored with integrated Guardmaster SafeZone laser scanners that use the diffused reflection of emitted infrared laser light to create a 2D programmable detection safety field, which senses intrusion within the defined area.
