NTK unveils DS line for sliding head lathes
To fully optimise all tooling positions and maximise the potential of sliding head turning centres, NTK Cutting Tools has developed its DS line of holders and sleeves. The DS line enables the end user to deploy turning tools in the vacant drilling sleeves, thereby increasing the number of turning tool positions available.
The DS line allows customers to conduct face, front and back turning as well as parting, grooving and profiling. The system has an adjusting screw on the top of the holder that raises or lowers the insert (while in the turning centre) with a height adjustment of ±0.2 mm.
The DS line is available in a variety of holder designations offering different clearance angles.
