No focus adjustment needed on Keyence VHX-5000

Keyence says that its VHX-5000 digital microscope is able to instantly capture any area in complete focus – without the need for the user to adjust focus. The VHX series is designed to overcome the limitations of traditional optical microscopes by providing high resolution, large depth-of-field imaging and integrated 2D/3D measurement in a system that anyone can operate without any special training.

The VHX-5000 is equipped with a newly developed CMOS camera, capable of imaging at 50 frames per second, making it the highest frame rate digital microscope camera in the industry, says Keyence. As a result, fully focused images can be generated in as little as 1 second. According to Keyence, the VHX-5000 is also able to enhance contrast and reduce over/under saturated areas on a target component using a high dynamic range algorithm.
