New grade Turning Geometry for difficult materials

Stellram’s versatile 4E Turning Geometry, available in the new grade SP0819, is excellent for machining parts, such as engine casings, main shafts and blisks, from stainless steels and titanium-based alloys with high nickel and high cobalt content. The new 4E’s precisely-designed geometry and reinforced chipbreaker profile allows for positive cutting action and reduces built-up edge, ensuring a smoother surface finish and superior levels of component dimensional integrity. In addition, the 4E’s heavy-duty Nano TiAIN layer PVD coating and aerospace-rated, tough micro-grain carbide substrate are specifically designed to be more resistant to the heat and wear demands of high temperature alloy machining.
