Molyslip launches calcium free anti-seize range to meet new industry standards

Global lubricant leader Molyslip, has removed all calcium compounds from its entire range of anti-seize lubricants, ensuring that its products are safe for operators to use in all environments.

By removing calcium from Ceramslip and Ferroslip, Molyslip has become the first company to have a 100% calcium free anti-seize range. The move removes any risk of exposure to carcinogens from anti-seize compounds that have been found at high temperature operating conditions, whilst maintaining the high-performance that Molyslip customers associate with its products.

Commercial manager Andrew Cunningham says the main goal is always the safety of customers and the firm is "extremely fortunate" at Molyslip to have state-of-the-art laboratories with chemists leading the field in lubricant technology so can therefore react quickly when safety issues like Cr(VI) are raised.

"Our priorities are two-fold – the best possible product for the job but never at the risk to our users," and adds “Many anti-seize lubricants in the market still contain calcium but I’m proud that our customers can use our Molyslip range with peace of mind.”

Calcium has traditionally been used as a high-temperature anti-seize solid. Both Ceramslip and Ferroslip benefit from the change in formula, where calcium has been replaced by newer additive technology giving our products higher performance capabilities.

Molyslip’s calcium free range of anti-seize lubricants include:

  • Copaslip
  • Alumslip
  • Ceramslip
  • Graphslip
  • Foodslip
  • Ferroslip

Molyslip is a UK based lubricant company that exports 95% of its production to over 90 countries worldwide and has offices in Manchester, Dubai, Mumbai, São Paulo and Shanghai.  From its headquarters in Irlam, Manchester the company has a fully integrated lubricant manufacturing facility, including new state-of-the-art laboratories.
