Sandvik Coromant's CoroMill 329 milling cutter offers higher feed and cutting speed.
Prepared for gang mill mounting, CoroMill 329 can be used to produce accurate slots and grooves, as well as for cutting off.
Available in diameters from 100-160 mm, CoroMill 329 can produce grooves up to 18 mm deep.
Sandvik Coromant claims that CoroMill390 offers higher security, due to screw-clamped inserts, and enhanced rigidity, along with higher feed and cutting speed capability. Cutter rotational speeds are are 4-7 times higher than for the Q-cutter.
Economy is enhanced by the use of CoroCut inserts and their two cutting edges. Inserts of widths 2.5, 3.0 and 4.0 mm are available, with Tailor Made options also available.
Standard choice geometry is CM, although if chip control needs to be improved further TF geometry is recommended.
Standard grade is GC1125, as its fine grained carbide and thin PVD coating have proved their performance in many kinds of grooving applications. Other grades are available.
