Measurement arm + probe captures up to 25 times more points than others

Romer's ScanShark V5 probe system comprises an Infinite 7-axis arm system, a ScanShark V5 probe, and Polyworks software. The V5 joins the V4i probe as another non-contact scanning option for Romer arms. The ScanShark V5 probe captures an incredible 458,000 points per second with a point density of just 12 microns. That's up to 25 times more points per second that other handheld scanners! The V5 is ideal for digitizing large areas fast. It's 140mm wide laser stripe and proprietary integrated rangefinder make scanning work easier than ever. Hexagon Metrology has also announced an agreement to distribute Polyworks software from Innovmetric Software, Inc. with its portable metrology devices, including laser trackers and ScanShark systems. InnovMetric software's Polyworks/Inspector package is for 3D inspection tasks, while Polyworks/Modeler is ideal for reverse engineering.
