MasterCAM now includes SpaceClaim 2D/3D tool set for faster fixes
SpaceClaim, now directly integrated with MasterCAM, enables CAD parts to opened, corrected and updated prior to CNC programming. Described as a powerful geometry editor for machinists it can also fix dirty geometry that can cause errors in CAM.
Its direct modelling technology allows production engineers to import parts from any CAD system and build fixtures for them in a fraction of the time CAD would take, says SpaceClaim. It can also mark up CAD parts with suggested changes and de-feature parts to create in-process models.
