Manual lathe range

Broadbent Stanley has introduced a range of manual lathes.

They are sourced from a manufacturer well known in the Far East for its quality lathe products but little heard of in the West. The competitively priced lathes fall into two ranges – geared head and infinitely variable drive machines. The geared head range consists of six basic models, each offering optional bed lengths, starting with a swing of 430 mm and 763 mm between centres to the largest with a 760 mm swing and a 4,000 mm centre distance. The inverter drive variable speed machines comprise three models: the V430 series, a 430 mm swing with bed lengths of 760, 1,000 and 1,500mm; V480, a 480 mm swing model, the V480, also featuring centre distances of 760, 1,000 and 1,500mm but with the addition of a 2,000 mm version; and the V530 with a 530 mm swing offering 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000mm between centres. All models are of a robust construction and feature single piece Meehanite castings for both the bed and plinth. They also feature a gap bed and are supplied to a high base specification but with options available to tailor a machine to suit customer needs.
