Igus' LeviChain supports the energy chain using a magnetic field, so it floats. The system is rated at 41.7 dB(A) at a distance of 1 m, and is also cleanroom compatible, having an ISO cleanliness Class 4 (at v=0.6 m/s). It can support very high rates of acceleration and can be applied to usupported lengths of up to 40 m.
Bending radii of from 45 to 100 mm are possible and the chain is available pre-assembled in three widths up to 75 mm.
