Low volume profitable bending with Trumpf TruBend 3100

Simple to operate, rugged and reliable is how Trumpf describes the TruBend 3100, the latest model added to the company's TruBend Series 3000 press brakes. Offering a press force of 1,000 kN and 3 m bending length, standard equipment on the TruBend 3100 includes a 2-axis back-gauge which may, as an option, be expanded to a 4- or 5-axis back-gauge. This makes it possible to position sheets securely, even where complex parts are involved.

The TruBend 3100 is said to be well suited to those new to manual bending. The operator can sketch components and program graphically at a large display with multi-touch control. The bending parameters are calculated by the control, while 3D visualisation simplifies the work further and checks for potential collisions. If suitable bending programs already exist, they can be imported via USB or a network connection. Even third-party tools can be used without an adapter.
