Losma cartridge air filtration system offers filtration efficiency of up to 99.97%

Losma has unveiled a new cartridge filtration unit series, Argos, designed to purify mist, vapor and smoke generated inside workshops during machining. Argos is available in three sizes with throughput ranging from 3,000 to 12,000 m3/h, and with varying combinations of increasing filtration efficiency reaching up to 99.97%.

Argos’ air filtration process comprises three phases:

• Air enters a calming chamber thatcan be equipped with a pre-blasting system, 'Twist', which facilitates re-aggregation of the particles by a forced centrifugal effect.
• Subsequently, the air passes through two separate and reusable filtration stages: a PVC drop separator and a metallic G3 filter.
• The air then passes into the section carrying the cartridges, which have folded elements having a high filtration surface area that captures finer impurities.

Upon request, Argos can be supplied with an absolute H13 filter, which allows for a filtration level of 99.97%, according to EN 1822 norms. The re-condensed oil mist is collected in a tank thatmay also be equipped, upon request, with a pump to automatically empty the tank.

Argos has been conceived to guarantee sturdiness, reliability and simplicity in maintenance. The supplied manometer allows for monitoring of filter clogging. The front hatch and the cartridge horizontal hooking system allow for quick and simple access and substitution. Upon request, 'Led Up' can be supplied, a LED strip that signals clogging of filter elements via three different colours.

Argos may also be supplied with the Losma GREEN Bio-filter, a special, patented filter of natural fibers that can be used as a pre-filter in substitution of synthetic fiber filters.
