Leica T-Scan 5 from Hexagon is 15x faster
Hexagon Metrology has introduced its latest generation Leica T-Scan 3D hand-held laser scanner. Said to be more than 15x times faster than the previous model, the Leica T-Scan 5 also has almost double the stand-off distance, which results in more efficient data capture, especially in difficult-to-reach areas.
According to Hexagon, the higher scan rates allow ideal feature recognition, smaller detail detection and quicker scanning at an approved quality level on all surfaces and colours. Furthermore, the user's scanning experience is enhanced with a dual colour guide light and acoustic feedback.
Leica T-Scan 5 is also said to be best qualified for automation and robotic applications.
