Latest Soraluce portal mills soon available from Ward CNC

Soraluce will be unveiling its latest range of portal milling machines – and its newly constructed factory for building them – at the company’s Soraluce Summit 2019 open house event on 20-22 March in Bergara, Spain. According to TW Ward CNC Machinery (Ward CNC), Soraluce’s exclusive UK and Ireland agent, the machines include models with moving tables and fixed/moving beams, as well as gantry milling and multi-tasking machines – all available with a full range of machining heads and additional options.

“The latest machines are part of the brand’s strategic commitment that has made Soraluce a supplier of integral machining solutions,” says Ward CNC’s head of strategic accounts and projects Stuart Lawson. “Soraluce focuses on developing technological solutions that allow customers to elevate efficiency and productivity. This includes ‘all-in-one’ multi-task machining where milling, turning and grinding come together in a single machine – in the same set-up – meaning that set-up times become spindle running times.”

The Soraluce Summit 2019 will bring together industry professionals to share experiences and expertise. Visitors will also be able to view the company’s new factory for portal milling machines, which is already operating at full capacity.

A further highlight of the summit will see delegates witness – in a live production environment – some of Soraluce’s smart technology advances, such as DAS+ (Dynamics Active Stabiliser) and DWS (Dynamic Workpiece Stabiliser). According to Soraluce, these technologies allow productivity to be boosted by up to 300%, while cutting capacity can be doubled.

There will also be demonstrations of the newly developed Smart HMI interface and the VSET for improvements in workpiece alignment cycle times, as well as insights into projects that have been specifically developed for customers.
