KMT Triline TL-I 30 waterjet pump is for standalone application

KMT Waterjet Systems has launched its Triline TL-I 30, the company’s first direct-drive pump for waterjet cutting. Direct-drive technology is suited to simple applications in which the machine is deployed with a stand-alone pump.

The Triline TL-I 30 has a power rating of 22 kW and achieves a delivery volume of 3.1 l/min. At a working pressure of 3,800 bar, the pump can produce a waterjet of diameter up to 0.3 mm. According to KMT, this is where greater efficiency, compared with a pressure intensifier pump, comes into its own, because a higher delivery volume can be reached for the same motor power.

At the heart of the TL-I 30 direct-drive pump is the crankcase, which is based on a stainless steel base plate with integrated cooling ducts, meaning the guide rods are not exposed to environmental factors. Furthermore, the patented pressure control valve makes for speedy adaptation of the required working pressure.
