Kemppi ArcQ provides qualitative proof of weld parameter compliance

Finnish welding equipment manufacturer Kemppi is introducing an advanced welding quality management system designed to monitor MIG/MAG and TIG welding operations. It is called the Kemppi Arc System 2.0 – ArcQuality (ArcQ).

The Kemppi ArcQ is designed to provide qualitative proof that welding was completed using approved parameters, filler materials and qualified personnel. It measures and identifies WPS deviations outside certain parameters and records errors by comparing information collected against qualified welding procedure specifications. When the ArcQ system is deployed, a welder logs on using a smart reader by scanning the barcode on their personal identification name tag. Scanning and recording the WPS barcode ensures that qualifications are suitable and in date. Filler material and shielding gas selection is also scanned, compared and verified. The ArcQ smart reader LCD screen communicates WPS compliance or deviation using bright green or red screen alerts, ensuring the welder is reliably informed and able to take suitable corrective action if required before welding commences. Quality office reporting monitors welding activity and WPS compliance from all ArcQ active workstations, allowing swift supervisory intervention should local warnings have been missed or ignored, while data records can be securely read via a secure Cloud-based service from any location worldwide. ArcQuality is compatible with all Euro connected MIG/MAG equipment, transferring data via a wireless LAN, serving single or multiple site users, for clear and factual reporting.
