Jyoti HMC 560 offers heavy roughing to precision finishing in four axes
The Jyoti HMC 560 high speed, high precision 4-axis horizontal machining centre is equipped with standard features that include three-point levelling, B-axis rotary table and a powerful electro spindle, so the machine can easily perform a wide variety of operations from heavy roughing to precision finishing work.
Both the machine base and column are made of 60-grade spheroidal graphite iron castings to provide exceptional rigidity and geometrical accuracy, providing a totally balanced and stable construction with optimum design features that ensures vibration-free high-speed cutting. The fixed column and travelling saddle provide rigidity and balance while machining operations are performed in all positions along the X and Y axes. The X-axis is driven by twin ball screw drives with the motors synchronised in a master/slave configuration, so the centre of gravity of the moving mass always remains within the driving points of the slide. This design allows rapid traverse rates of 50 m/min and cutting feedrates of up to 20 m/min.
High precision monorail roller guideways are fitted to the 780 by 730 by 750 mm X, Y and Z axis travels providing exceptional static and dynamic stiffness with high load bearing capacity. The 500 by 630 mm pallet can accept workpieces up to 800 mm diameter by 950 mm high and weighing up to 700 kg.
The HMC 560 is fitted with a high speed electro spindle for maximum cutting performance. Standard spindle power is 29.5 kW with a cutting torque of 182.5 Nm and a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm. The spindle is supported with a set of four ceramic angular contact bearings in the front and two angular contact bearings at the rear. This arrangement provides high axial and radial rigidity for a wide variety of machining tasks.
