Jetcam Cross Track MTL keeps tabs on composite material stocks

2 mins read

Jetcam CrossTrack MTL is composite material and kit location/life tracking software that is available on a monthly subscription basis. Companies can also receive an initial free three-month trial, without commitment.

CrossTrack MTL allows composite manufacturers to recreate all of their material locations virtually, so that any composite material’s location and life can be tracked. Allocating material to locations such as freezers and autoclaves will alter or stop the life countdown, with every change to a material’s status being logged. Traceability reports for individual rolls or tapes, batches of material or kits can be generated in seconds.

Users can quickly get the full history of a roll, tape or kit by using the Life Cycle graph, which pinpoints each change in an item’s status. Changes such as clearing material for production, blocking, rejecting, re-lifing, scrapping or relocating are logged, also capturing who performed the change, when and on which computer. Comprehensive user access control provides the security to ensure that the right staff have clearance to perform tasks whilst also removing the possibility for error.

CrossTrack also includes a ‘Shop Floor’ interface, providing a simple, touch-friendly and barcode scanner interface for quickly transferring stock in and out of locations. Transfers can also be scheduled so that staff know when to expect particular materials or kits.

Users wanting to test the system can sign up for a free three-month trial. At the end of the trial they can register to continue using the software, paying either quarterly or annually. Pricing starts at €159 per month for annual billing and €169 for quarterly billing, and includes maintenance, support, software updates and access to the Jetcam University online video tutorial library.

Discounts are available on additional licences. Online installation is available for €295, however installation is straightforward and fully documented, allowing IT-literate companies to install and configure the system themselves very quickly.

CrossTrack utilises the industry standard Microsoft SQL Server database platform, allowing customers to either utilise an existing SQL Server installation or download the free SQL Express edition, further reducing costs.

Says Martin Bailey, general manager for Jetcam International s.a.r.l.: “Any company that has ever had to throw out expired material or that is drowning in a sea of paperwork will immediately benefit from CrossTrack MTL. It delivers enterprise-level traceability across the shopfloor, without any significant cost overhead. The three-month free trial and ease of implementation gives companies the time to get up and running and see what it will do for their business without the pressure of sales people looking to cut a high value order. By the time the first subscription is due, the system will have already justified its cost many times over.”
