ITC offers Air Turbine Spindles’ 602X DT auto-loadable spindle
Air Turbine Spindles' double turbine 602X DT, available in the UK from ITC, will be launched at MACH 2012 on stand 5069. The 602X DT constant high speed spindle can autoload from the Fanuc Robodrill and other drill tap machines' magazines.
The 0.4 hp 602X DT offers constantly governed 40,000, 50,000, 65,000 and 75,000 rpm while cutting. With just two moving parts, the low friction, low heat, direct drive spindle has no gears, vanes or brushes to burn out. It also requires no lubrication, so emits no oil mist.
Air Turbine Spindles says that automatic tool change adaptor kits are available for most drill tap machine brands. The 602X DT, with the TMA automatic loading option, helps to reduce cycle time and increase tool life. For automatic loading from the Robodrill magazine, the spindle-mounted manifold block is connected to a clean dry 6.2 bar air supply.
For manual loading the spindle's NPT adaptor connects to a 6 mm diameter airline.
Air Turbine Spindles has also announced a 0.8 hp governed, constant speed 625XDT.
