IMT fourth generation Tacchella Elektra grinder boasts up to 350 kg workpiece capacity

The IMT fourth generation Tacchella Elektra universal grinder features a new workhead driven by a built-in motor (C-axis) and new hydraulic tailstock giving it the ability to grind round, not-round and polygonal workpieces weighing up to 350 kg to a very high degree of accuracy.

The range, which includes 27 models, can be used for grinding lengths of 600, 1,140 and 1,640 mm, with centre heights of 180, 230 and 260 mm. A B torque axis for automatic positioning of the wheel holder head is available in five different versions, freely programmable via Fanuc32i CNC or, optionally, Siemens 840D sl.
