Igus Triflex TRLF.125 energy chain for light robotic applications

Igus has launched Triflex TRLF.125, extending the product family to include its largest 125 mm nominal diameter e-chain. TRLF energy chains are suited to robotics and other applications that require electrical power cables, data cables and hoses to remain secure and protected during multi-axis movement. With this new 125 mm size, even stiff or large hoses, or indeed large numbers of individual cables, can be inserted quickly and easily, Igus says.

TRLF provides a defined bend radius and a maximum torsion of approximately ±200° per metre of chain. To add or remove cables or hoses, each link can be opened manually or by screwdriver to facilitate filling, modification or maintenance. As the TRLF system does not utilise any internal steel cables or spring elements, additional links can be easily added or removed via a simple ball and socket joint.
