Hypertherm releases 3 kW HyIntensity HFL030
Advanced cutting systems manufacturer Hypertherm has released the 3 kW fibre laser system that it exhibited at EuroBLECH2012. The HyIntensity Fibre Laser HFL030 has a recommended cut capacity of 20 mm for mild steel, 12 mm for stainless steel and 10 mm for aluminium.
Like all Hypertherm HyIntensity fibre laser systems, the HFL030 is specifically optimised for cutting applications. It comes complete with pre-developed cutting processes and all the components needed for table integration and operation.
When compared with CO2 laser systems, the fibre laser cutting process significantly simplifies table design requirements and integration, points out Hypertherm, adding that operating costs are also lower than for CO2 laser systems, thanks in part to fiber laser's energy efficiency and low maintenance requirements.
