Hypertherm launches major update to nesting software – ProNest 2012
Advanced cutting systems manufacturer Hypertherm has announced a major update to its ProNest nesting software for metal fabricators and other metal cutting processors. ProNest 2012 has been developed to enhance the productivity of metal cutting systems whether they be plasma, laser, oxyfuel, waterjet, or combination punch/plasma.
Additions and enhancements to ProNest 2012 include a Work Order Processing module that connects to the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. This helps to maximise material utilisation, increase productivity and achieve better on-time delivery.
Material grade and thickness functionality offers increased nesting flexibility and costing accuracy when working with parts and plates of varying grades and thicknesses.
2D CAD part creation and editing functionality provides the ability to create new part geometries for nesting and may be used to edit existing geometries imported from an external CAD program.
