Hosokawa Micron reduces exposure to airborne particles

Hosokawa Micron clean air technology fettling booths reduce operator exposure to potentially harmful fettling dust, polishing dust, swarf and fine airborne particles from other metalworking processes.

Hosokawa's mobile fettling trolley and static fettling bench incorporate rear extract filter plenums that allow a horizontal air flow to extract airborne particles away from an operator's breathing zone. The 'plug-in and play' back-draught mobile extraction booth has a two stage filtration system comprising a replaceable panel filter and HEPA filter to H13 grade standard. HEPA filtered air is discharged into the factory working area. Constantly monitored by alarm-activating pressure gauges, a high performance extraction fan ensures a reliable airflow through the booth, even when the filter cells are dirty, maintaining a safe working environment. With its own lighting and an integrated Type H vacuum cleaner for the safe removal of swarf or larger filings, the mobile Hosokawa micron fettling trolley is easily wheeled around the workshop. The static fettling bench is mounted at a fixed point in the workshop and ducts exhaust to a remotely located reverse jet pulse or shaker filter with sealed bin dust collection for easy disposal. Air from the booth is extracted through an H13 grade standard filter. HEPA filtered air is discharged into the atmosphere. Units can be supplied with an explosion relief panel (if needed). The unit can incorporate local on-tool extraction and a bench area cleaning vacuum and electrical sockets if needed. Both static and mobiles units can be supplied fully ATEX compliant and are available in a range of standard sizes and construction materials.
