High speed aluminium milling with Mapal EcoFeed-Blue
With the EcoFeed-Blue range of replaceable-insert face milling cutters from Mapal, it is said that cleanly controlled machining of aluminium castings can now be reliably achieved even at high feed rates. This is particularly beneficial with complex castings such as cylinder heads and valve housings, where the cleaning process often contributes significantly to overall machining costs.
In order to produce completely clean finished parts, EcoFeed-Blue milling cutters incorporate PCD inserts featuring novel geometry that has been developed specifically to control the chips away from the workpiece surface.
