Hedelius offers three versions of versatile tilting spindle Tiltenta T7

Hedelius recently introduced the Tiltenta 7 which has a work envelope described as ideal for 5-axis and long part machining.

The Hedelius T7 is a tilting spindle machining centre with integrated NC indexing table. With a combination of an infinitely pivotable main spindle and integrated NC indexing table, it is suitable both for 5-axis as well as long part machining. A divider plate creates a workspace for 3- and 5-axis pendulum operation. As standard, the machine has an integrated NC indexing table with 750 mm faceplate diameter and an interference area of 1,100 mm. This allows precise 5-sided complete machining. Rapid feedrates of 40 m/min and short chip-to-chip times reduce the non-cut times. Vertical covers are designed to facilitate cleaning of the working area, which is especially valuable when processing aluminium. Thanks to the Celox motor spindles, the T7 provides a milling performance up to 550 m3/min in St 60. Even a solid 40 mm dia drill can be used, says Hedelius. Sturdy gear units have a swivelling accuracy of less than five seconds and Heidenhain glass scales are provided for highest accuracy workpieces. Three versions of the Tiltenta machining centre are on offer: The extremely compact T7 1600 (single), the T7 2600 with a 2,600 mm X-axis and the 4,200 mm X-axis T7 4200.
