The Haco Kompakt CNC plasma cutting machine is offered in a large range of table sizes and with Hypertherm or Kjelberg plasma sources for conventional and high definition cutting.
The machines feature a Mecano-welded monoblock frame with integrated fume extraction chambers, which open and close individually and are pneumatically controlled by the position of the gantry for efficient extraction.
The gantry of the Kompakt rests on linear guides and is driven on both sides by brushless AC Servo motors and rack-and-pinion systems (X-axis of the machine). Two linear guides are mounted on the gantry for accurate Y-movement of the cutting head.
The Y-axis is controlled by a brushless AC Servo motor with rack-and-pinion system. The integrated Z-axis, which controls the height of the cutting head, has a similar servo set-up.
Collision between the cutting head and cut workpieces is prevented by a spring system that stops the cutting movement instantaneously. The machine cutting table is made of easily replaceable steel fins — these can be cut on the machine itself.
Graphical CNC control is based on 2 Intel Pentium 3 processors with a standalone 15 inch TFT colour touchscreen and keyboard. Macro-based graphical programming is described as user friendly.
