Grinding machine for crankshafts weighing up to 6 tonnes

Crankshaft grinding specialist Naxos-Union's PM 4xx series – the abbreviation stands for “Pin chasing and Main bearing grinding” – has penetrated the market for large diesel engines as used, for example, in engine-based cogeneration systems and in ships. The PM 460 is designed for the manufacture of crankshafts that weigh up to 6 tonnes and have a maximum length of 6 m and meet the 10 micron tolerance requirement demanded. The grinding head of the PM 460 contributes 7 onnes top the machine' overall nearly 40 tonne weight.
