The Moveable Dispatch Chart has been introduced to the company’s Advanced Planning and Scheduling software. It has been devised to quickly, efficiently and accurately enable adjustments to the system-generated schedule, thus saving time on the shopfloor. Users are able to see the dispatch list in chart form; jobs can be reordered by dragging them up and down the list, or to another work centre. These changes are typically made based on the demand of each work centre, job due dates, and other scheduling parameters defined by the user.
Having a drag-and-drop system allows customers to make minor adjustments to the schedule and group jobs together by raw material to decrease the amount of time taken going back and forth to the inventory.
