Fanuc CR-7iA collaborative robot lifts 7 kg

Fanuc UK has launched its latest collaborative robot, the CR-7iA, which can lift payloads of up to 7 kg. The CR-7iA’s mechanics correspond to that of the Fanuc LR Mate-series (LR Mate 200iD), making it more suitable for manufacturers looking to handle lighter materials while working hand-in-hand with human workers.

The launch of the CR-7iA follows the introduction of the CR-35iA, a larger collaborative robot. Collaborative robots provide the benefit of handling materials without the need for industrial barriers, due to their integral protective functions.

UK manufacturers will have the opportunity to view the CR-7iA prototype in action at the MACH 2016 exhibition in April.
