End mills drastically reduce machining time

The new range of Hanita VariMill II end mills (available from ITC) is designed for drastically reducing machining times and improving performance, and is suited to applications in the aerospace, mould and die, medical, automotive and general production environments.

The range offers outstanding performance when machining stainless steel, titanium, inconel and additional high temperature alloys that are difficult to machine. This diverse application range is credit to the 5-flute design that is optimised by an unequal flute spacing that delivers smooth machining and reduced chatter. The innovative geometry of this 5-flute series allows the VariMill II to comfortably conduct slotting processes up to 1XD. Capable of roughing and finishing operations, the Hanita VariMill II series eliminates the need for a multitude of tools. Available in a variety of series including the 5777, 5V0S, 5VNS, 57N8 and 5V0T cutters, the numerous options give end users the choice of metric or imperial dimensions with diameters ranging from 6 to 25 mm in 2 mm increments, with imperial sizes starting at ¼ inch to 1 inch diameter. The new AlTiN coated VariMill II range also offers a plain or weldon shank, square or radius end and standard or extended neck lengths up to 45mm or 1 ¾ inch. All cutters are available as stock items from ITC.
