Edgecam unveils 2014 R2 CAM software
Newly developed functionality in Edgecam 2014 R2 from Vero Software begins to show how Edgecam Workflow will be the default method for using Edgecam. Enhancements include:
• 2D to 3D for Part Modeller ensures old 2D legacy design data can be used in Edgecam Workflow without total part re-modelling.
• Edgecam Workflow Solids offers a fast and simplistic approach to creating simple CAM-ready 3D solid models.
• Edgecam Workflow has been enhanced in all areas, including improved machining strategies.
• Dynamic co-ordinate system creation delivers an interactive way of creating construction planes by simply dragging the CPL marker from the bottom left of the screen on to faces, vertices or edges – the CPL marker snaps automatically and orientates as required.
Other enhancements include job reports on portable devices, the integration of the Adveon tool library from Sandvik Coromant, and the direct import of tooling information from Mazak machines.
