Drill sharpening automated with Darex XT-3000I-A from 1st MTA

The Darex XT-3000I-A automates the drill sharpening function of the XT-3000 model launched in 2010. The end result is faster and more consistent sharpening of many types of drills, says 1st Machine Tool Accessories (1st MTA), the UK representative for Darex.

The XT is already a workhorse sharpener with capability to not only sharpen drills but also countersinks, brad points, left hand drills and more. Using the automatic feature of the latest model allows users to simply align standard conical drills, push the start button and let the sharpening system regrind the drill bits to ANSI standards. The XT-3000I-A has the capability to sharpen drills sized from 3 to 21 mm. The automatic sharpener is also programmed to monitor and record the number of operations it has completed. This enables the user to measure productivity, and also alerts him or her to perform regular maintenance.
