Dormer Pramet’s TNGX10 milling inserts offer a different angle

Dormer Pramet has introduced a line of tools and inserts to support economical shoulder milling applications. TNGX10 double-sided triangular inserts offer depths of cut up to 5 mm and feature six cutting edges.

A range of cutters is available, from 18 to 80 mm diameter. The inserts are suitable for materials that include steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals, as well different applications, including shoulder-, face- and slot-milling, helical interpolation, ramping and progressive plunging.

To support the range, Dormer Pramet has also introduced three positive geometries. Geometry F has a narrow peripheral land and is suited to light and medium machining for low-to-medium carbon steel. Geometry M, with a medium T-land, is also suitable for light and medium machining, but for carbon steel and stainless steels. Finally, geometry FA has a sharp cutting edge and is for machining non-ferrous metals.
