Cutwel promotes benefits of versatile Dinox modular precision tooling

Dinox modular tooling systems from Dine of Korea are available from Cutwel. They are suitable for high precision boring, drilling, tapping and milling applications as well as for rough-to-ultra fine boring.

The modular system consists of a back end mounted in a machine tool spindle that accepts standardised interchangeable front ends, thus allowing quick and accurate assembly of cutting tool combinations for most machining centres. The 6 to 540 mm bore tooling system makes almost any operation possible, says Cutwel. Tools are available on BT-MAS, SK-DIN69871 and straight shank holders and – through the use of extensions and reducer bars – any depth is possible. Assembly is so effective that the repeatability when locking components together using the special cone locking screw is less than 5 µm. Everything is standardised, so everything fits everything else. Further benefits Cutwel cites are maximum rigidity due to the face-to-face clamping force of each modular element and fine adjustment for precision boring which can eliminate reaming. Toolholders are specially heat treated for long service life.
