Compact grippers deliver high forces

PGN-plus and PZN-plus are for situations where long fingers and high gripping forces conflict with a requirement for compact gripper housing. The PGN-plus 2-Finger-Parallel-Grippers are available in eight sizes to cover a range of gripping forces between 140 N and 13,000 N. Additionally, the PZN-plus 3-Finger-Centric-Gripper is offered in seven sizes offering gripping forces from 580 N to 38,700 N. The required forces are achieved by a pneumatic piston, while the gripper offers a range from 2 mm to 35 mm stroke per finger. Engineering drawings in all current 2D and 3D CAD-formats are available for download from Schunk's website. Schunk has also extended its portfolio with the new PZV 4-Finger Concentric Gripper - a 4-finger-gripper system (pictured). The 4-finger PZV is the ideal gripper module for holding coplanar and cylindrical workpieces and is available in four sizes of 64, 100, 160, and 200 mm – achieving gripping forces from 580 N to 7,100 N. With strokes from 4 mm to 16 mm, it can be used to cover an extensive range of workpieces.
