Citizen reinvents Cincom L32 sliding-head series

Citizen Machinery UK says it has “reinvented” its Cincom L-series sliding-head range by adopting a modular specification and innovative build techniques.

The machine is initially available in three versions of L32, ranging from a 5-axis machine with 30-tool capacity to a 7-axis version featuring 40 tools plus the incorporation of a +90° to -45° rotary B-axis able to carry driven tools and additional Y2-axis feed to the back toolpost.

The machine has a bar capacity of 32 mm as standard and 35+ mm as an option, with the added advantage of the incorporation of Citizen’s exchangeable ‘guide bush to non-guide bush’ configuration.

The three versions, L32-Vlll, L32-X, and L32-Xll, all feature wider access to the working zone through a rising hinged operator door, plus additional rear access. Main and sub-spindles have 7.5 and 3.7 kW motors respectively, providing 8,000 rpm, while driven tool speeds are 6,000 rpm from 1 kW motors.
