Carbide ball-nose endmill targets mould and die applications

The 2112 Cyber Series 2-flute ball-nose solid carbide endmill boasts centre cutting, a reinforced shank and short flute to deliver exceptional performance under the toughest of machining conditions. The 2112 Series is manufactured from an ultra-wear-resistant micro-grain carbide with an AlTiN coating to guarantee tool life that is far beyond that of competitor products. Tool life is extended further with the short flute and reinforced shank design. This new addition to the Cyber Series of cutting tools is available with multiple neck lengths for machining cavities. This new cutter is expected to be successful in the mould and die industry where it excels in machining at extremely high speeds and feeds. The 2112 Series is available with five radii below 1 mm, with a 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.8 mm radius plus the 1 mm, 1.2, 1.5, 2, 3, 4 and 5 mm radius options that complete the series. The cutters have a shank diameter of either 4 or 6 mm, with an overall length of 50 or 57 mm. Each cutter has a reach and neck diameter in proportion with the cutters to deliver optimum performance under the most strenuous of machining conditions.
