ATS International has announced CM4D version 20 of the company's product quality validation software. The software highlights the differences between the geometric design specification and a manufactured item.
Advanced navigation of the Managed Document Selector in ATS CM4D v20 allows a user to drill down using filters and sorting to find and open one Managed Document from among many on multiple databases.
Improved development tools makes the report building process easier than before, says ATS. Due to symmetry of data from one side to the other, the report is often symmetrical as well. Therefore, the report building tool, ReportTweak, now allows the user to create a report for one side of a part and then copy and mirror it for the other.
Organising data within a SheetSet can be difficult if there are a large number of sheets. Now Altered Array Sheet makes it possible to temporarily rearrange the order of the sheets, or hide some of the sheets, so that only those needed at that moment can be seen. This allows the user to fill the display area with sheets relevant to the data currently being worked on, without having to zoom in and out repeatedly and reload extraneous information.
Find Features capability in CM4D Interactive facilitates the search for all points in all Routines and Databases that match a specified Feature Label string – all without loading any data from databases.
ATS has made other smaller changes to improve general ease of use. Feature Marker Text, available in both CM4D Classic and CM4D Interactive, makes it easy to locate a specific feature while rotating a 3D model in the view of a report. Another feature, E-Mail Sheet, prints the report to a PDF and attaches it to an email at the touch of a button.
