ATM MZ07 robot: class-leading reach and speed

ATM Automation's MZ07 robot, which has a footprint equal to that of an A4 piece of paper, is said to deliver the highest speed and longest reach of robots within the 5-7 kg payload class.

The MZ07 completes the standard cycle time test of up/down 25 mm over a distance of 300 mm (carrying a payload of 1 kg) in just 0.31 seconds. Horizontal reach from the standard length arm is 723 mm, while the long arm version provides 912 mm. This compact robot also has a host of other features including smart cable routing through a hollow wrist, keeping cables and pneumatics safe from interference and damage when operating in confined spaces. A range of seven standard gripper types, including parallel action and 3-finger variants, are available which further reduces the time required for installation and commissioning.
