ANCA UK, the Coventry-based branch of the CNC grinding machine manufacturer and precision tool specialist from Australia, is strengthening its leading position in the market with an enhanced setup and new products. The MACH 22 show in Birmingham and the newly configured showroom are a stage for ANCA’s innovations in tool grinding, cylindrical grinding and full circle automation for precision tool production.

ANCA UK, established 35 years ago, has a large installed base of CNC grinding machines in the industry for precision tools and other high accuracy parts. The branch has partnered with manufacturers, bringing them the innovations in tool and cutter grinding such as 5-axis machines and CAM for tool grinding as early as the 90s, robot automation single setup machining and various software innovations, based on a singular vertical integration.

“We’re the only manufacturer in our field that doesn’t just develop and build the machines in-house, but also the CNC, drives and software, even machine canopies," said Adrian Wright, regional sales manager for ANCA. “We extend this in-depth approach to our customers, listening to their needs and designing solutions to enable their success.” Accordingly, ANCA will install two demonstration machines with the latest innovations at the Coventry branch.

Wright added: “We have a CPX blank preparation machine which extends our process scope, with an excellent pinch-peel process, unique standard features for high precision and quality as well as easy configuration for unmanned production. The MX7 Linear tool grinder is the choice for demanding production tool grinding around the world. The machine will show our high-level automation designed to give customer flexible batch manufacturing for all lot sizes.”

Both machines will be on display at the MACH show in Birmingham on stand 20-132 from April 4 to 8, featuring the latest in-process measurement functions which focus on tool manufacturers demand for highest quality and automation options. Further new possibilities in the fields of PCD tools, gear making and automated production lines will also be presented. Apart from the machines on display, ANCA will introduce

  • the new spark generator on the EDG series hybrid machines for grinding and erosion,
  • the GCX platform for hobs and skiving tools with design software and integrated measuring; and
  • the autonomous manufacturing solution AIMS (ANCA integrated manufacturing system), a modular set of hardware and software products and components allowing for integration of the entire process chain and production process.

Neil Kendrick, the UK operations manager, addED: “We have a setup unlike anyone else in the industry. Having served the regional market for decades, we have years of customer insights and experiences that positions us as a trusted and expert future partner.

The new setup makes our newly configured showroom the place to come to for any tool manufacturers looking to develop their technology and capabilities. We have also enhanced our after-sales product portfolio, giving manufacturers the opportunity to boost their productivity.”

Customers can access software, hardware and automation training, by senior experts. Modular service contracts to fit specific customer situations, retrofits and 3rd party products rounding out the ANCA offerings. “We are really looking forward to meeting our customers and prospects at the show and on our premises to develop tailored solutions and to introduce our latest and very exciting innovations.”
