The AXIOM model can print in over 30 different thermoplastic materials. Its enclosed print chamber provides a thermally stable environment that is said to minimise the risk of warpage to 3D models. In addition, AXIOM's CoreXY motion control system enables 250 mm/s print and 400 mm/s traverse speeds. It can produce models up to 317 by 200 x 250 mm in size.
The AXIOMe model is tailored more towards the education market. Printing in PLA and low-temperature materials is something most educators prefer, as these are easier to use, recyclable, biodegradable and non-toxic. Therefore, AXIOMe has been limited for low-temperature print use only.
