Adaptive Laser Cutting now standard on LVD's Sirius and Sirius Plus lasers

Adaptive Laser Cutting (ALC) has been so successful on LVD's Impuls laser cutters that the firm has decided to make it standard on all of its Sirius and Sirius Plus 4 kW lasers too.

ALC works by using dynamic feedback from the cutting process so it knows how much to regulate the laser's power, speed and give the right amount of gas pressure in real time. Unlike other process control systems, ALC does not rely on pre-defined parameters but instead it measures what's actually happening during the cut. LVD says ALC is ideal for cutting thicker materials in an unmanned environment.
