600 UK’s Harrison EziTurn 330 lathe suits education sector

The Harrison EziTurn 330 lathe from 600 UK has been designed to bridge the gap between conventional and CNC lathes by combining the capabilities of a centre lathe with the added capability of automated cycles on an easy-to-use touchscreen control.

Although aimed primarily at the education sector, the EziTurn lathe can also be deployed in the workshop environment. According to 600 UK, the machine requires the absolute minimum of training for operators.

Machining cycles include stops, facing, tapers, threading (metric and imperial), grooving, drilling, tapping and constant surface speed control, while the machine features the Harrison conversational and parametric programming system.

In terms of specification, the machine offers 1,000 mm between centres, 330 mm swing over bed, 42 mm spindle bore and 3.7 kW main motor power.
